Jade and I are proud to announce the start of our 1906 Inman Park Bungalow renovation. It has been a long and arduous journey to get here but we couldn't be more excited to begin work.We are very fortunate to have hired Austin Foster of Construction Ahead as the general contractor. The project will be led by Jason, Austin's senior project manager. Jenny, Austin's designer, continues to play a key role in the design and selection process working hand-in-hand with Jade who has made all the selections and has spearheaded the room layouts and design.
The project is scheduled to complete in March of 2009.
Currently, our house is a 2 bedroom/1 bath bungalow with all finished living areas located on the first floor. During the renovation, we will be adding 2 bedrooms and 2 baths on the second floor and we will also be adding a new back deck. There will be some minor changes to the first floor and there will also be some foundation and front porch repairs performed.
This project definitely has its challenges so the next couple months will be interesting. We will keep you informed of the progress and welcome any comments, criticisms, ideas, and support that you would like to offer.
We would like to thank everyone who has helped us get to this point including our parents, friends, neighbors, lawyers, accountants, loan officers, contractors, designers, and city officials...we couldn't have done it without you.
